To find some possible actors for our trailer, I e-mailed Meabh O'Donovan from the Showroom Workstation as I had previously done my silver arts award with the BFI Film Academy there. She replied suggesting to ask Rob Speranza, a producer at the South Yorkshire Filmmakers Network, who I had seen previously at the BFI Academy.
I have e-mailed Rob enquiring if I can be of any help. He replied with the following email:
Rob asked for more details on the actors and who we're looking for (male, female, children etc.) and gave us a site that could also help called www.ottopm.co.uk. After explaining the choice of actors, Rob e-mailed me with a list of people he thinks would be willing to act in the trailer. I will have to e-mail them but explain the fact there is no budget involved so they won't be paid.
Here are the actors that Rob suggested, now we will have to contact the and see if they are up for acting in our trailer despite the lack of budget and payment.
I e-mailed Mike "Wilson" Davies, Luke Goddard, James Scanlan and Mick Davies to act in our trailer. They were all very up for it despite the lack of budget.
I am casting Wilson as the main character in our trailer, Connor Wright, a heroin and cocaine addict in England as he seems to look and fit the role of the main anti-hero of the film. Luke Goddard is being cast as Connor's friend Ronnie who serves as a possible antagonist in the film.
